Common questions

What does CIE do?

CIE (CountryHill Integrated Engineering) is an engineering-led platform for market integration, OEM qualification and technical management. It integrates professional engineering, technical management, product development, OEM qualification, manufacturing integration, and professional consulting within a disciplined Professional Practice framework.

Does CIE manufacture the products?

CIE does not present third-party products as its own. Where an OEM or partner manufactures a product, it is named and linked as an external resource. CIE’s role is technical qualification, compliance, engineering integration and North American market implementation.

Which products and systems does CIE work with?

Automated warehouse and AS/RS systems; specialty door, egress and access systems; specialty materials and coated steel products; FRP products, bolts and fasteners; selected MEP equipment and systems; and PEMB / structural building systems.

Can CIE help a manufacturer with CSA A660 compliance?

Yes. CSA A660 compliance management and implementation is part of CIE’s PEMB OEM development services, alongside manufacturing capability and QA framework development, material and product compliance, and product testing and technical qualification.

Is CIE a construction engineering firm?

No. CIE does not position itself as a construction engineering firm. It provides technical customer support during steel erection and building assembly — clarifying drawings, connections and engineering intent, reviewing field issues, coordinating with fabricators and OEMs, and supporting project closeout.

Where does CIE work?

CIE is based in Alberta, Canada and serves projects across Canada, with international engineering and manufacturing coordination capabilities — including coordination with overseas manufacturers, fabricators, engineering teams, equipment suppliers, and specialty product developers.
